Bryon Noem was the one responsible for domestic chores, child rearing
A column written years ago by Kristi Noem described how her husband, Bryon Noem, handled much of the work at home while she focused on her duties as governor of South Dakota.
In a 2019 piece published on the Governor’s Office website, Noem explained that her husband frequently took charge of responsibilities involving their children, their ranch, and the household. She wrote that her schedule often kept her away from home and said she appreciated returning to a house that was organized and a family that had been well cared for.
The article, titled “Husband, Father, Servant,” portrayed Bryon Noem as someone deeply committed to family life and faith. According to Noem, his actions showed how seriously he took the role of a father and the responsibility he believed men have in leading their families. She described him as someone who expressed that commitment through service to those closest to him.
Noem also wrote about how involved her husband was when their children were born. She recalled that he gave their daughter Kassidy her first bath and remained so active in caring for the baby that even her own mother had little chance to help when she came to visit after the birth.

Bryon Noem, now 56, has recently come under scrutiny after photos circulated online showing him wearing women’s clothing and using large balloon props under his shirt to resemble breasts.
Reports have also alleged that he spent about $25,000 on online fetish models connected to a lifestyle known as “bimboification,” in which participants attempt to create exaggerated feminine appearances similar to a Barbie doll aesthetic.
One model, Nicole Raccagno, 47, who operates an OnlyFans account, told the Daily Mail that Bryon Noem sent her as much as $1,500 per month during their online relationship and frequently expressed affection for her in messages.
According to the report, he allegedly told the model he loved her and asked her to marry him. He also reportedly offered to pay for additional cosmetic surgery to further enlarge her breasts.

Kristi Noem, 54, served as governor of South Dakota after being elected in 2019. She left the governor’s office last year to take the role of U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security in the administration of President Donald Trump.
Kristi and Bryon Noem were married in 1992 and have three children.
Bryon Noem declined to comment on the allegations, and Kristi Noem did not respond to requests for comment.
