WATCH: ‘Final Destination’-like video shows top bunk collapse, nearly impale boy sleeping below
A terrifying video captures the moment a bunk bed collapsed, nearly injuring a Texas toddler sleeping underneath — with his quick-thinking older sister rushing to save him.
The footage shows the older sister on the top bunk as the metal rods holding it up suddenly give way, crashing down toward her little brother.
“You okay? Oh my God!” she yells in alarm.
She immediately pulls the mattress off her brother and calls for their mother, prompting their grandmother to rush in and help. Another child, sleeping nearby in a toddler bed, wakes up to the noise.
The video, shared on TikTok, has gone viral, accumulating 82 million views and five million likes as of Friday. Many commenters praised the sister’s bravery.

“Older sister mode immediately,” one viewer wrote. Another added, “The way the spikes went ALL around him.” A third remarked, “What in the Final Destination!” referencing the horror movie’s infamous impalement scene.
The children’s mother, Aurora Price, posted a follow-up video on TikTok, confirming that all her children are safe and taking responsibility for building the bunk bed herself.
“I was proud of myself for building a bunk bed,” Price said. “Clearly, I either did something wrong — it’s cheaply made, it’s from Amazon. There are a bunch of reasons why it could have fallen.”
She also credited her mother for staying calm during the incident. “My mother is the one who reacted. That wasn’t me. She got in the room first, I was behind her, and she handled the situation very calmly — which was needed, because my daughter was already terrified.”
“I know that if I had been the one to walk in first and see that, oh my God, it would have been horrible. I would have been screaming, crying, and probably throwing up,” Price added. “It was a very scary moment.”
