Iran shares rare view inside underground bunker filled with drone fleet
Iranian state media released a video showing a fleet of drones lined up inside an underground bunker, in what appears to be a display of military strength.
The footage, distributed by the semi-official Fars News Agency, shows unmanned drones positioned on rocket launchers and truck beds, accompanied by dramatic music. Drones are arranged along an aisle leading through a brightly lit tunnel, flanked by multiple Iranian flags. Analysts suggest the drones are likely Shahed models, which cost only a few thousand dollars each to produce, according to the Daily Mail.
Iran has deployed drones across the Middle East in retaliatory strikes following Operations Epic Fury and Lion Roar, targeting U.S. and Israeli positions. These attacks hit U.S. military bases in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Six U.S. service members were killed in an Iranian drone strike on Kuwait’s Port Shuaiba, where personnel from the Army Reserve’s 103rd Sustainment Command were stationed. Those killed include Capt. Cody Khork, 35, of Florida; Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42, of Nebraska; Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, of Minnesota; and Sgt. Declan Coady, 20, of Iowa.
The Iranian military suffered significant losses in the initial joint operation, which targeted senior leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and roughly 40 other officials inside a fortified compound in Tehran. Despite this, Iran has continued launching drones and missiles, many of which have been intercepted by neighboring countries’ air defenses.

On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces reported that an F-35I fighter jet, known as “Adir” or “Mighty One” in Hebrew, shot down a Russian-made Iranian YAK-130 aircraft over Tehran, according to Israeli military officials.
