Senior Customs and Border Protection Official FIRED and Marched Out of Office for Leaking Sensitive, Personal Information to the Corporate Media

A senior immigration official has been dismissed following allegations that sensitive information about Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel was leaked to members of the media, according to reporting from Fox News and a statement from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

DHS said the individual, a high-ranking CBP official based in Washington, D.C., was removed from their position after allegedly sharing law-enforcement–sensitive material, including personal details about CBP personnel and information related to border wall negotiations.

A DHS spokesperson described the alleged conduct as “abhorrently dangerous” in comments to Fox News. “As DHS law enforcement faces an 8000% increase in death threats, leaking law enforcement sensitive information is abhorrently dangerous,” the spokesperson said. “DHS is agnostic about your standing, tenure, political appointment, or status as a career civil servant — we will track down leakers and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”

The official has not been publicly identified.

The report comes amid broader concerns about the online exposure of personal information belonging to ICE and CBP personnel. According to Fox News, multiple databases and messaging platforms have reportedly been used to share details such as photographs, uniform information, phone numbers, and other personal data of federal officers.

Separately, The Gateway Pundit reported on a Signal messaging group called “MN ICE Watch,” which it alleges has been used by activists to organize protests and share information about ICE activities in Minneapolis. The report claims the group compiled a database of license plates associated with ICE vehicles and facilitated coordination among participants. These claims have not been independently verified.

FBI Director Kash Patel has stated that the bureau is investigating certain messaging chats related to the alleged doxxing of federal officers.

In a related incident reported last month, a Minnesota journalist was accused of assisting in the identification of an ICE agent involved in a fatal encounter with an activist. The agent reportedly went into hiding afterward. It is unclear whether there is any connection between that incident and the dismissed CBP official.

Further details have not yet been released by authorities.
