A routine tram tour at Universal Studios Hollywood turned chaotic on Saturday when a man reportedly left the tram during a scheduled stop and removed all of his clothing in front of fellow guests.
According to KTLA, more than 150 people — including families with children — witnessed the incident.
One passenger told the station they believed the man appeared intoxicated. The individual allegedly began rolling on the ground and taunting park employees as the situation unfolded. The tram was placed in an emergency stop, and the passenger estimated it took roughly 15 minutes for park security to arrive.
“We received apologies from the driver and the hosts of the experience and [I believe] that, although they did their best to handle the situation, procedures should definitely be reevaluated,” the passenger said. “It should not have been allowed to escalate to that level of intensity.”
After the disturbance, guests on the tram were reportedly given express lane passes as a courtesy.
The man has not been publicly identified, and it remains unclear whether he will face any criminal charges.
Video from the scene shows security personnel restraining the man on the ground as employees worked to bring the situation under control.
