Trump threatens to sue Michael Wolff, Epstein estate — insists fresh doc dump absolves him
President Trump has threatened to sue author Michael Wolff, as well as the estate of Jeffrey Epstein, asserting that the latest release of documents tied to the late financier clears him of wrongdoing.
“I didn’t see it myself, but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,” President Trump said to reporters aboard Air Force One while traveling to Florida late Saturday night.
He accused Wolff, who wrote an unauthorized biography of the president, of “conspiring” with Epstein to undermine his political career. “We’ll probably sue Wolff on it. And maybe the Epstein estate, I guess, I don’t know, but we’re certainly gonna sue him,” Trump added. He also described Epstein as someone “conspiring with Wolff to do harm to me politically. That’s not a friend.”

Wolff appeared in numerous Epstein-related documents released last November, in which he was depicted as acting as the financier’s unofficial adviser and publicist ahead of the 2016 election.
In February 2016, Wolff suggested to Epstein that the financier could serve as a “bullet” to damage Trump’s campaign. In one exchange, Wolff wrote to Epstein about ways to manage media scrutiny over Trump’s alleged connections with Epstein, saying: “I think you should let him hang himself… that gives you valuable PR and political currency.”
At the time, Wolff described Epstein as “an enormously valuable source” and acknowledged that part of his approach had been to encourage Epstein to go public with information about Trump. When questioned about the documents, Wolff said he could not recall the context of the exchanges.
The revelations have renewed scrutiny over the relationships between Epstein, Wolff, and prominent political figures, even as Trump insists the files ultimately exonerate him.
