Student Hit by Car at Anti-ICE Protest at Nebraska High School (Video)

A female student participating in an anti-ICE protest at Fremont High School in Fremont, Nebraska, was struck by a car flying a Trump flag on Thursday.

Video footage shows the student running into the street alongside other protesters while holding a sign. The car, which had reportedly driven past the protest multiple times, struck her on the passenger-side front bumper. Witnesses indicate the driver, who also appears to be a student, had a brief confrontation with protesters on the sidewalk before entering the vehicle. The girl landed on the hood before falling to the street.

A school administrator briefly flagged the driver down, but the car then accelerated away. A male passenger in the car was visible in video footage, and a protester took the Trump flag from the back of the vehicle while it was stopped.

Emergency responders reported that the girl was conscious and talking after the incident. She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. As of Thursday night, authorities had not released information regarding potential charges against the driver or the student’s condition.
