Kentucky Man Arrested After Walking In The Street Naked Claiming He Was Covered In Spiders
MPD: Man arrested for walking naked in street, claims he was covered in spiders
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) – Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after he was found completely naked walking in the street on Monday.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to the area of West Broadway and Kentucky Street in reference to an indecent exposure report.
Officials say police eventually found the perpetrator, later identified as James Daniels, completely naked carrying a pair of jeans.
Daniels told police he took his clothes off because he got covered in brown recluse spiders.
When police asked him where he was going, he told officers that he didn’t know because the devil had not told him yet.
After being taken into custody and placed in the back of the police cruiser, Daniels said he was on fire, and the devil was yelling in his ear.
Officers say it appeared that he was under the influence of an unknown intoxicating substance.
Daniels was booked into the Hopkins County Jail and faces the following charges:
- Indecent Exposure
- Public Intoxication – Controlled Substance
