Brooklyn Peltz Beckham says he has stopped trying to repair his relationship with his parents, according to the BBC. In a series of Instagram posts shared with his 16 million followers, the 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham accused his parents of repeatedly undermining his marriage to actress Nicola Peltz Beckham and of showing her ongoing disrespect.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn wrote, explaining that he had remained silent for years but felt compelled to speak out after what he described as media leaks coming from his parents’ circle. He alleged that his parents had “tried endlessly to ruin” his relationship and subjected both him and his wife to persistent criticism.

Representatives for David and Victoria Beckham did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The couple, who also share sons Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper Seven, 14, have not publicly addressed the situation.

Brooklyn’s comments follow months of speculation about tension within the family, People reports. A source told Page Six that a major family argument last week helped trigger his public statements.

In his posts, Brooklyn claimed he has faced “endless attacks” from his parents, both privately and through media coverage. He alleged that his mother disrupted his 2022 wedding by canceling plans to design Nicola’s wedding dress shortly before the ceremony, forcing the couple to find an alternative. At the time, reports suggested Nicola chose not to wear a Victoria Beckham design, though she later told the Times that the dress simply could not be completed in time and denied any feud.

Brooklyn also said his mother “hijacked” the couple’s first dance at the wedding when singer Marc Anthony invited him onto the dance floor, resulting in an unexpected dance with Victoria instead of Nicola. He described the moment as “uncomfortable” and “humiliating.” Additionally, he alleged that his parents pressured him weeks before the wedding to sign away certain rights to his name, claiming his refusal had financial consequences.

“My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else,” Brooklyn wrote, adding, “Brand Beckham comes first.”

According to Brooklyn, the strain extended beyond the wedding. He said that when he and Nicola—who combined their last names after marrying—traveled to London for David Beckham’s birthday, they spent a week in a hotel waiting to see him, only to be told their meeting would have to take place at a large, camera-filled party. Brooklyn said a later meeting was offered on the condition that Nicola not attend, which he called “a slap in the face.” He also claimed his family declined to meet with him during a subsequent visit to Los Angeles.

Brooklyn further alleged that his younger brothers were encouraged to criticize him on social media before blocking him. Cruz Beckham previously denied claims that their parents had unfollowed Brooklyn on Instagram, writing in December, “Not true… They woke up blocked as I did.”
