Minneapolis—A video captured by Fox News host Laura Ingraham appears to show that some protests often described as “grassroots” may actually involve paid participants.

Ingraham reported live from outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, where demonstrators had gathered. While mainstream outlets often portray such protests as the work of concerned citizens, the confrontation caught on camera offered a different perspective.

During the broadcast, a protester repeatedly shouted “shame” at Ingraham. When she asked whether the individual had a job, the protester admitted, “I’m getting paid right now.” The moment was later posted on Ingraham’s Instagram with the caption: “ICE protesters in front of the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building near Minneapolis today. BREAKING NEWS: they are paid!!”

This revelation aligns with claims from conservative outlets that some organized demonstrations, including anti-ICE protests, receive funding from larger networks rather than arising spontaneously.

Separately, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) announced that the House Oversight Committee has unanimously approved her motion to subpoena businessman Neville Roy Singham. Evidence presented to the committee alleges that Singham has directed significant “dark money” toward U.S. nonprofit groups connected to:

  • Anti-ICE demonstrations and riots

  • “No Kings” protests aimed at challenging the judicial system

  • Propaganda efforts linked to foreign influence

The development has sparked debate over the funding behind political activism and how it may affect public discourse in the U.S.
