Joe Biden Still Struggling to Raise Money for Presidential Library – No New Donations in All of 2024

In September, it was announced that President Trump’s predecessor, Joe Biden, plans to build a presidential library in Delaware. At the time, questions arose about how he would raise the funds needed for such a project.
Now, those concerns appear to have been well-founded. The New York Times reports that the Biden Library Foundation did not secure a single new donation in 2024. While no figures for 2025 have been released, the lack of updates suggests fundraising hasn’t improved.
The library’s purpose also raises eyebrows. What exactly will be displayed? Autopen signatures? Photos of the border crisis?
According to the New York Times:
Dems: Biden was greatest president of our lifetimes and deserves to be on Mt. Rushmore.
Biden: Hey, can you spare some change for my library?
Dems: ***crickets*** https://t.co/OGwV5rEqag

Perhaps Hunter could sell some artwork to help raise money.
I’m old enough to remember when his paintings sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars each.

“Biden Has Raised Little of What He Needs to Build a Presidential Library”
President Joe Biden has managed to gather only a fraction of the funds necessary to construct his library, leaving the project’s timeline and feasibility uncertain. Public filings show that in 2024, the library foundation received no new donations, relying instead on $4 million left over from Biden’s 2021 inauguration.
The foundation has not disclosed 2025 fundraising totals, stating that Biden is only now beginning active fundraising efforts. His first donor event is scheduled for Monday in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.

Even projections for the next few years suggest modest results: the foundation expects to raise just $11.3 million by 2027, far below the pace of other recent presidential libraries and well short of the $200 million goal cited by Biden aides.
This raises the question: why aren’t Democrats stepping up to support a project for a president they praised while in office?
