Paramedics arrived around 3:30 p.m., followed shortly by LAPD officers responding to what was described as an “ambulance death investigation,” according to reports.

Detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division were also at the scene. Sources indicated a knife was likely used in the attack. Officers blocked off the street in front of the Reiner home, while detectives were observed entering and exiting the residence.

Post reporters noted that the home was decorated for the holidays. Situated in a high-end Brentwood neighborhood, the property is shielded by tall hedges and gates. The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division handles high-profile cases throughout the city.
