Speculation is growing about a possible relationship between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau after the two appeared together in a series of social media posts over the weekend.

According to the BBC, the pop star and the former Canadian prime minister have gone “Instagram official.” Perry shared multiple photos and videos on Saturday from her recent tour stop in Tokyo, and Trudeau was featured prominently in several of them.

Earlier in the week, Trudeau had also posted on X, sharing a photo of himself and Perry alongside Fumio Kishida, the former prime minister of Japan, and his wife, Yuko.
“Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko,” Trudeau wrote. “Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”

Perry and Trudeau have been photographed together several times since Perry’s 41st birthday in October. Shortly after the first images surfaced online, Perry appeared to reference the attention during a concert, jokingly telling a fan who proposed onstage, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”

Despite the public appearances, neither Perry nor Trudeau has directly confirmed or commented on any relationship, according to The Guardian.

Perry ended her relationship with Orlando Bloom earlier this summer; the former couple share a daughter. Trudeau and his former wife, Sophie Grégoire, announced their separation in 2023 after 18 years of marriage and share three children.
