STOCKTON, Calif. – Obdulia Sanchez, the woman who previously served time in prison after livestreaming a fatal crash that killed her sister near Los Banos in 2017, was shot and killed in Stockton on Tuesday, authorities confirmed.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said Sanchez, 26, was targeted in a drive-by shooting around 7 p.m. A second person was also injured and taken to a local hospital. No arrests have been made.

In 2017, Sanchez was driving through Los Banos with her 14-year-old sister when their car went off the road and flipped, ejecting her sister and her sister’s friend. The crash and her sister’s death were captured on a livestream.

Sanchez was sentenced to six years in prison for gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI, and child endangerment, though she served less than half that time before being released on parole.

In 2019, she was arrested again after a high-speed chase and was found in possession of a loaded firearm.
