Before the Beginning POLL

For as long as humans have been able to think, we’ve wondered where we were before we were born. Some people imagine that we come back over and over until we finally learn what we’re meant to learn. Others believe we were simply nothing—no body, no mind, no awareness at all. Even when we dream now, we are still a body experiencing something, so the idea of “being nothing” is almost impossible for us to picture. These questions sit at the edge of what our minds can grasp, and that’s part of why they stay with us. We think about them again and again, trying to make sense of the mystery of where we came from and what, if anything, existed before us.
