WATCH: Kamala Harris ROASTED for Preparing Collard Greens For Thanksgiving
Vice President Kamala Harris posted a TikTok video Thursday showing herself preparing Thanksgiving dinner with her nieces. In the short clip, Harris focused on cooking collard greens.
Harris previously spoke about her approach to making collard greens during the 2024 campaign, telling a Georgia voter she once washed large batches in the bathtub to handle the volume. She has also mentioned adding ingredients like bacon, garlic, white vinegar, and a splash of Tabasco for flavor.
“My grandma used to put bacon and garlic. I put white vinegar, fry the bacon, then add garlic, chili peppers, water, and a little chicken stock before letting it cook for a while. Then I add the greens for a couple of hours, finish with vinegar, and a little Tabasco,” Harris said in 2024. She noted she enjoys “Louisiana hot” flavors, which inspired the Tabasco addition.
