Man leaves a ceramic cup stuck up his butt by ‘accident’, has to undergo surgery
Man undergoes surgery after 8cm by 6cm ceramic cup gets stuck up his bottom by ‘accident’

A man recently had to undergo a major two-hour operation after a ceramic cup became lodged in his lower intestine. Doctors at the hospital had no choice but to remove the cup surgically.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the man was too embarrassed to tell medical staff about the situation when he first sought help. Hoping he could pass the cup naturally, he tried to have a bowel movement—but was unsuccessful.
After an X-ray revealed the object, the man admitted only that it was an accident, offering no further explanation about how it happened. “I don’t know. I did it by accident,” he reportedly told doctors.
Hospital staff issued a warning about the dangers of inserting objects into the rectum, noting the potential for severe injury or even death. One doctor mentioned he had encountered baseball bats, vibrators, and even a coconut lodged inside patients before—but a ceramic cup was a first.
