Trump to Female Reporter: ‘Quiet, Piggy’
A video from last Friday is stirring controversy after President Trump sharply cut off a female reporter aboard Air Force One, saying, “Quiet, piggy.”
The exchange began when the reporter — later identified as a Bloomberg journalist — asked Trump about his name appearing in newly released Jeffrey Epstein files. The Daily Caller Trump denied any knowledge, saying, “I know nothing about that. They would have announced that a long time ago.” As she attempted a follow-up about whether there was anything “incriminating” in the records, he pointed his finger at her and snapped, “Quiet. Quiet, piggy.”
At first, the moment didn’t draw widespread attention — but now, fellow journalists are pushing back hard. CNN anchor Jake Tapper called the remark “disgusting and completely unacceptable.” Former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson denounced it as “disgusting and degrading.”
Bloomberg hasn’t made a public statement yet, and the reporter herself has not responded. Meanwhile, the White House defended Trump’s comment, arguing that the reporter was unprofessional and that “if you’re going to give it, you have to be able to take it.”
