New internal GOP memo shreds Democrats’ narrative on Trump and Epstein

The House is expected to vote on forcing the DOJ to release all of its Epstein files Tuesday

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are accusing their Democratic colleagues of using the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein to attack President Donald Trump rather than focus on securing justice for the late pedophile’s victims.

Fox News Digital obtained a 10-page internal memo from GOP committee staff, which alleges that Democrats have intentionally misrepresented information obtained by Republicans to create a misleading narrative.

“Unfortunately, during this investigation, Oversight Committee Democrats, led by Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), have intentionally mischaracterized witness testimony and selectively released information with targeted redactions in an effort to create another hoax involving President Trump,” the memo states.

The memo adds that when Republicans released the full set of documents, Democrats claimed the transparency was meant to “disorient” and “distract” from the narrative they were attempting to construct about President Trump.

The investigation, originally launched with bipartisan support for transparency, has increasingly become a partisan battle, with each side blaming the other for focusing on politics rather than victims. Democrats have criticized Republicans for allegedly using the probe to shield President Trump, who was known to associate with Epstein but has not been tied to any criminal activity.

The GOP memo emphasizes that the committee has released thousands of pages of documents from the Department of Justice and Epstein’s estate and maintains that it is committed to transparency for victims.

“The Democrats have uncovered nothing new, have released no document not provided at the request of Republicans, and have only succeeded in reinforcing what the American people already knew: President Trump knew Jeffrey Epstein decades ago, ended the relationship, and was not involved in Epstein’s crimes,” the memo said.

The memo also accuses Democrats of overpromising, underdelivering, and combing through documents searching for mentions of President Trump.

While the released documents do not definitively confirm or deny Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, the president has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The memo cites former Attorney General Bill Barr’s deposition as evidence clearing Trump of awareness of the investigation, but accuses Democrats of twisting this testimony to suggest Barr had “limited knowledge.”

Republicans further allege that Democrats selectively leaked emails from the Epstein estate to portray Trump negatively, and that they manipulated redactions in ways that removed important context—such as references to Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, who stated she never witnessed wrongdoing by Trump.

The memo also criticizes Democrats for publicizing pages of Epstein’s “birthday book” naming Trump while withholding a purported message from former President Bill Clinton, and for failing to pursue testimony from the Clintons despite issued subpoenas.

“Democrats are not concerned with transparency or justice,” the memo concludes. “The evidence the Oversight Committee has gathered does not implicate President Trump in any way. Democrats must stop playing games in this investigation.”

The memo, dated Sunday, comes two days before the House is expected to vote on a bipartisan bill that would require the DOJ to release all files related to Epstein.

Trump encouraged Republicans to support the measure, posting on Truth Social: “We have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the committee’s Democratic minority for comment.
