A major brawl broke out inside a popular Whataburger in San Antonio earlier this month, leading to several arrests.

According to KSAT, police responded to the restaurant shortly after 3 a.m. on October 5 following reports of a fight that began over an order mix-up.

Video footage shows multiple individuals shouting as a large fight unfolds inside the restaurant. Most of the altercation occurs on the left side of the frame. One young man appears to take the brunt of the attack, lying on the floor while others strike him. A bystander, possibly a restaurant employee, can be seen trying to intervene, but the violence continues. Photos taken after the fight show blood on the floor.

The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that seven people were arrested in connection with the incident: Andres Garcia Cardenas, 21; Tyrone Tolliver, 21; Miguel Torres, 57; Meili Torres, 21; Andrew Lopez, 21; Deontae Tolliver, 23; and Veronica Valdez, 53. KSAT also reported that several younger individuals, including two 18-year-olds and two 20-year-olds, were involved.

Surprisingly, police say no serious injuries were reported.

San Antonio resident Rebecca Noel, whose son was involved in the altercation, offered her account on Facebook. She explained that the fight started when part of another table’s order was mistakenly delivered to her son and his friends. “Instead of the staff acknowledging their error, they reportedly told the other customers, ‘They have your food,’” Noel wrote, posting a video of the incident.

“Moments later, those individuals confronted my son and his friends, and within seconds, the situation escalated far beyond a simple misunderstanding — to a violent assault,” she added. “There is absolutely no excuse for what happened. This never should have escalated to this point.”

A Whataburger spokesperson said the restaurant is cooperating with authorities and is committed to ensuring safety. “At Whataburger, the safety of our guests and employees is our top priority,” the spokesperson said.
