‘I would sue’: Nashville woman orders a $1,200 DJI bundle from Best Buy. Then the package gets lost—3 months later, she still has no refund
A Nashville content creator says she’s out $1,200 after buying a high-end camera bundle from Best Buy that never made it into her hands. Despite weeks of calls, paperwork, and frustration, she says she still has no refund, no replacement, and no help from Best Buy, FedEx, Affirm, or even her old apartment complex.
In a TikTok video that’s been viewed more than 15,000 times, Morgan (@lipbalmkixxx) shared her ordeal. “Don’t get any of your home or technology needs from Best Buy. Don’t use Affirm,” she warned viewers.
Delivered to the Wrong Address
Morgan says she ordered the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Bundle just before giving birth in June, financing the purchase through Affirm. But the package was mistakenly delivered to her old apartment—an address she hasn’t lived at in two years.
When she called the building, staff initially brushed her off. By the time she followed up, they told her they had no packages for her. When she asked them to review security footage, she says they told her, “Even if someone did steal it, we can’t force them to give it back.” The package never resurfaced.
A “Song and Dance” with Best Buy
Morgan then turned to Best Buy, where she says she was first promised a replacement. Instead, she spent months in what she described as a back-and-forth runaround.
“They did that dance with me for like three months,” she said. “Every time I called in, they’d say, ‘We’re escalating this.’ But no one ever actually did anything.”
Eventually, Best Buy corporate told her to file a police report. After doing so and presenting it to a store in Hendersonville, she was told her account had been flagged for fraud and nothing more could be done.
Affirm Still Wants Its Money
Morgan canceled her automatic payments to Affirm after paying one installment of $222. The company has since warned her it may report her as delinquent if she doesn’t continue paying.
“Affirm pretty much told me, ‘We’re just a loan company. Whether you get the product or not is between you and Best Buy,’” Morgan said.
Meanwhile, FedEx confirmed delivery to the old address and declined to assist further.
A Creator Without Her Tools
Morgan says the experience has left her feeling stonewalled at every turn. “Everybody pretty much told me they don’t care,” she said. “Best Buy has told me as of about four days ago that that’s their final decision.”
With no camera and no refund, she’s been left without essential equipment for her work. “I’m a full-time content creator. This is literally my job,” she said. “I don’t appreciate being treated as if I’m stealing or trying to run a game when I’m actually investing in my craft. Best Buy, do better. Affirm, do better. 1200 Broadway, do better.”
