His dogs got Wagyu while I ate a days-old sandwich. Should I speak up?
DEAR ABBY: I’ve been with my boyfriend for nine wonderful years. He’s kind, devoted, funny, and hands-down one of the best cooks I’ve ever met.
We share our home with two Yorkies who are completely spoiled — and I mean completely. He adores them so much that he prepares elaborate, restaurant-quality meals just for them. I’m not exaggerating.
Just last week, the pups were served Wagyu beef with a drizzle of bone broth reduction. Meanwhile, my dinner was a turkey sandwich that was two days past the expiration date, along with a bag of chips.
Don’t get me wrong — I love those dogs. They’re family. But lately, I feel more like a housemate eating scraps while the VIPs enjoy the five-star menu. My boyfriend treats me wonderfully in every other way, but Abby, is it unreasonable to want the same steak privileges as the Yorkies?
