A highly unusual custom chess set commissioned by Jeffrey Epstein has surfaced, featuring the late financier and multiple young women depicted as game pieces in suggestive poses.
According to TMZ, the set includes a sculpted likeness of Epstein himself as the king, complete with a crown and robe. Each side of the board features pieces modeled after women in their twenties, who reportedly posed for hundreds of photos used to create the 3D sculptures.
The project began in 2016 when several women visited a photo studio in New York City to shoot images intended for the chess set. Dressed in glamorous outfits, the women returned multiple times, eventually generating around 600 photographs. These images were then transformed into a full set of 36 custom pieces, including pawns, bishops, knights, rooks, and queens.

The women told staff they were part of a chess club but declined to give details, including who led the group. Epstein himself appeared at the studio later to pose for his own pieces. The employee assisting with the project reportedly did not recognize him and noted that Epstein seemed unfamiliar with basic rules of the game, asking how many pieces a chessboard was supposed to have.
The completed set cost around $5,000 — a modest figure for Epstein, who was estimated to be worth nearly $600 million at the time of his death by suicide in 2019 while in federal custody in New York.
