3 Killed in Shooting at Dallas ICE Facility; Gunman Is Dead

Three people were shot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center in Dallas on Wednesday, and the suspected gunman has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Associated Press.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons confirmed the incident during an interview with CNN, stating that authorities were still determining whether the victims were employees, civilians, or detainees. “At this point, we’re still working through that,” Lyons said.

Later reports from KDFW identified all three victims as detainees. The suspected shooter, described as a white man, was reportedly positioned on a rooftop and armed with a rifle, acting as a sniper.

Authorities continue to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding the attack.
