MS-13 Thug Kilmar Abrego Garcia Whines About ‘Corrupt Government’ in Viral ICE Arrest Video as Trump Admin Preps to Ship Him to Uganda

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 30-year-old Salvadoran national with suspected ties to the MS-13 gang, was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a routine check-in in Baltimore earlier this week. The arrest, which was captured on video and later shared by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has drawn significant attention online.

In the video, Garcia is seen in handcuffs being led through the ICE facility when he remarks, “It’s a corrupt government.” The clip quickly went viral, garnering nearly 300,000 views within 24 hours and sparking widespread commentary across social media platforms.

Garcia is facing a range of serious allegations, including human trafficking, domestic violence, and child endangerment. He was previously arrested in 2022 during a traffic stop in Tennessee, where authorities discovered eight undocumented migrants in his vehicle. He pleaded not guilty at the time and was released on bond last week. ICE apprehended him again just three days later.

Although Garcia had been deported to El Salvador in June under the Trump administration, he was brought back to the U.S. to face legal proceedings. Now, officials are seeking to deport him to Uganda—an unusual move that has prompted legal pushback from his attorney, Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg, who has filed a lawsuit challenging the decision.

“President Trump is not going to allow this illegal alien, who is an MS-13 gang member, human trafficker, serial domestic abuser, and child predator to terrorize American citizens any longer,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in a statement regarding the arrest.

DHS captioned the viral video with a strong message: “He doesn’t belong here. He won’t be staying here. America is a safer nation without this MS-13 Gangbanger in it. Good riddance.”

Garcia’s legal team argues that the government is using deportation threats as leverage to pressure a plea deal, specifically pointing to Costa Rica being offered as a more favorable alternative to Uganda. “We don’t know if Uganda will even let him walk around freely in Kampala or whether he’ll be inside of a Ugandan jail cell,” Sandoval-Moshenberg said.

On Monday afternoon, U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis issued a temporary stay on Garcia’s deportation while the court considers further proceedings. The case is ongoing.
