Rock star melts down after White House calls him ‘washed-up’ — rages that Trump is a ‘low-life fascist’

Musician Jack White, former frontman of The White Stripes, launched a fierce social media attack on Donald Trump and his team Wednesday after being insulted by the Trump administration.

White’s response came after White House communications director Steven Cheung dismissed him as a “washed-up, has-been loser” in a statement to The Daily Beast. Cheung was reacting to White’s earlier criticism of Trump’s redesign of the Oval Office, which the musician mocked as “vulgar” and “gaudy,” comparing it to “a professional wrestler’s dressing room.”

“Can’t wait for the UFC match on the front lawn too,” White wrote Monday, referring to Trump’s plan to host a UFC event at the White House as part of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. “He’s almost fully achieved the movie Idiocracy,” he added.

Cheung responded Tuesday, accusing White of posting “drivel on social media” and claiming the artist was disrespecting the “splendor and significance” of the Oval Office. “It’s apparent he’s been masquerading as a real artist,” Cheung said, mocking White’s career and artistic credibility.

White hit back in a lengthy Instagram post, unleashing a scathing critique of Trump. “No intelligent person can defend this low-life fascist. This bankrupter of casinos. This failed seller of Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, Trump Water, etc.,” he wrote. “This man and his goon squad have failed upwards for decades and have fleeced the American people over and over.”

He also responded directly to Cheung’s insult: “How petty and pathetic and thin-skinned could this administration get? ‘Masquerading as a real artist?’ Thank you for giving me my tombstone engraving! Well here’s my opinion — Trump is masquerading as a human being.”

White continued his criticism in a second page of text, accusing Trump of posing as a Christian, a leader, and a person with empathy. He also targeted Trump’s staff, including Cheung and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, claiming they were enabling and disguising fascism as patriotism. “They foment hatred and division in this country on a daily basis,” he wrote.

The musician acknowledged that he typically doesn’t speak publicly about politics but said the stakes were too high to remain silent. “I’m not going to be like one of the silent minority of 1930s Germany,” White stated. “This man is a danger to not just America but the entire world… he’s dismantling democracy and endangering the planet on a daily basis, and we. all. know. it.”

Cheung later responded via Fox News Digital, dismissing White’s post by saying, “Trump deranged liberals like him are so predictable and easily triggered. I’m glad we live rent-free in his rotted, pea-sized brain.”
