Shelter Pit Bull Who Sees ‘People Walk Away’ When She Gets Excited Just Wants a Chance
Natalie Hoage
Walking into an animal shelter can be an overwhelming experience. Some dogs are sad and dejected, not even paying attention to their surroundings, while others get very excited to see new friends. Luna, a Pit Bull at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a dog that gets excited…and people don’t like it.
In the video’s caption, they share that people think that Luna is ‘too hyper’ which turns people off immediately. She’s an adorable dog though, and I hope someone falls in love with her soon and gives her the chance that she deserves!
@peggyadamsarlLuna loves everyone 🧡 Sometimes she gets so excited when people pass by her kennel that they think she’s too hyper. But once she’s out of the kennel, Luna will melt into your lap. She’s a total cuddle bug. Please come give her a chance! As a Dolly’s Dream Dog, Luna’s adoption fee is sponsored and she’ll take home an awesome package of goodies. Thanks to Dolly’s Dream for showing the world that bully breeds like Luna deserve so much love!♬ I Love You, I’m Sorry – Gracie Abrams
Gah! This one tugged on my heartstrings! Luna doesn’t seem like a crazy, hyper dog, just an excited puppy who wants to play. I really hope that someone decides to take a chance on her because I don’t think they’ll regret it!
Peggy says in the caption, “Once she’s out of the kennel, Luna will melt into your lap. She’s a total cuddlebug.” It goes on to share even better news, “As a Dolly’s Dream Dog, Luna’s adoption fee is sponsored and she’ll take home an awesome package of goodies. Please come give her a chance!”
Commenter Reactions to Luna the Excited Pit Bull
Commenters all felt the same way I did about Luna: she’s just too cute! @DK swooned, “I would be in love if I saw her jumping around and I would scream because of how adorable she is!” @Lexie23 agreed, “She’s not scary, she’s just a happy puppy and absolutely beautiful.”
@Rachel DePalma begged, “Please someone pick up this sweet baby.” and @jinpie added, “No Luna, you’re not scary! Here’s to hoping she finds a forever home!” @Lindsay spoke for all of us when she said, “Hoping this good girl finds hero forever home soon. Luna deserves more!”
Pit Bulls often have a hard time getting adopted because of the negative public perception they’ve gotten over the years. People who don’t know much about the breed immediately skip over them because they think of them as aggressive and angry dogs.
Fortunately, someone knows how gentle and sweet Pitties are and decided to give Luna a forever home. Peggy shared just a few days ago, “Update: ADOPTED!!!!!” I love a story with a happy ending!
