Dear Mr. Fixit
Dear Mr. Fixit:

Is this normal? Or should I call my contractor back out

Hey guys/gals. I was wondering if I could get some advice. I just had some contractors refinish the floors in my house. I went with a Bona Water based system just like I did in my old house. I had them use Bona HD Traffic for the top coats.

My primary questions is does this look normal? Or do I need to call them back out? I don’t remember by floors feeling almost textured in my last house, but that was also several years ago so I can’t fully remember. These pics are from 2 days after the second coat has cured. I think that my contractors also did not use enough product, but I can’t prove it. They claimed that they used 2 gallons on the first coat, and then another 2 gallons on the second. But I only saw 2.75 gallons in my trash can when they left (the third gallon still had some product in it). The total area that was redone was 1100squ ft.

What are your professional opinions on the final result? They seemed like very nice people, but I don’t think they were entirely honest with me either, which is a bummer, because I wanted to give them a positive review. But I also want the job done right, other wise I would have just done it myself.
