An 18-year-old man is in hot water after admitting to sleeping in the same bed as his 19-year-old brother’s girlfriend in a Reddit post.
‘We were staying in a hotel for a few nights because we were on a trip. My brother stayed at his friends house for a bit and me and his gf when back to the hotel’ he explained.
The younger teen continued: ‘We were both trying to have a nap but she got In bed with me because it was really cold and she was cuddling up to me to keep warm (we didn’t have any extra blankets or anything.)’
His brother spotted the two of them in bed together and called them both ‘disgusting.’
The younger brother finds this issue ‘kinda dumb,’ but his parents are ‘p*****’ – Is he the a******?
Reddit users have spoken, and they believe that teenager caught with his brothers girlfriend in bed is indeed an a******.
One person said: ‘Soft YTA – I say soft because I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you when you said nothing happened but… seriously….you thought it was a good idea for you and your brother’s girlfriend to cuddle up in a shared bed?’
Another person who responded to that comment said: ‘Cmon dude are you really buying that the hotel didn’t have blankets? This fool is lying lying lying.’
A Reddit user stated: ‘Yeeehp, YTA. You only use a bed for sleeping or shagging, it doesn’t matter you were only doing the former, that’s way too intimate a place to be with your sibling’s SO.’
One user bluntly comment: ‘Sorry dude, but YTA. In bed, cuddling someone in a relationship is a d*** move. You should’ve expected blowback from that.’

Many Reddit users have commented on the post – most of them saying that the 18-year-old teenager is the a******. Some Reddit users have also come to his defense
In a shocking twist, one Reddit user decided to support the 18-year-old, and say that he is NOT the a******.
He said: ‘I’m gonna go ahead and stick my neck out and say NTA. People way over-sexualize the act of sleeping next to another human being.’
He continued: ‘Which is wild because in the developing world to this day, and in the United States until the middle of the last century or so, unrelated people sharing a bed in a motel while traveling wasn’t at all uncommon.’
‘You’re traveling with your brother and your friend who is dating your brother. Neither of you have sexual intentions with eachother. You take a nap with your friend.’
‘Everybody else in the situation is mad at you – ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT THERE WAS SOME SEXUAL INTENT THERE – everybody else trying to sexualize your friendship is gross,’ he concluded.
People were quick to argue with the supporter as to why his opinion is wrong, but another Reddit user came to his defense in a lengthy comment.
He said: ‘U/burner3343 theres nothing inherently wrong with you or the way you approached this situation. Still, others are allowed to be upset, even though it’s a result of them assuming you “should know” how your actions would be interpreted.’
‘Neither party is really in the wrong here, it’s just miscommunication because you’re all young and haven’t learned how to navigate the different ways people approach relationships,’ he stated.
