Snoop Dogg’s Tartar Sauce Recipe: Tha Boss Dogg’s Favorite Way to Make Tartar Sauce
There are many dogg-eared pages (sorry, I had to) of recipes from the book that are on my list to make. The first recipe I made was his tartar sauce. I loved it because he uses bread and butter pickles, which I make all the time. My grandma’s bread and butter pickle recipe is a family favorite.

Snoop Dogg’s tartar sauce is made with mayonnaise, finely diced bread and butter pickles, chopped fresh dill and bread and butter pickle brine. The ingredients are mixed together, seasoned with salt and pepper, mixed again and refrigerated until ready to serve. So easy, but loaded with fresh flavors!
Snoop Dogg likes this easy tartar sauce on his catfish sandwiches, but this tartar sauce would be delicious on any fried seafood. Serve this condiment with fried fish, fried shrimp, fried clams, fried crawfish tails, clam cakes or hushpuppies, or as a sandwich spread instead of mayonnaise.

Fun Fact: Bread and butter pickles have been around since the early 1920s. It’s said that Omar and Cora Fanning, who raised cucumbers in Illinois, trademarked a family recipe for “sweet and sour pickles.” The rest is history.
