Make homemade French Dip Sandwiches in your crockpot.

French Dip Sandwich Prep

Here is what you need to make Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches. 4lb of Rump or Chuck Roast 1 10.5 oz can of Condensed French Onion Soup 1 10.5 oz can of beef broth 1. 12oz bottle or can of Beer. (Dark Beer like a stout or porter) French Rolls and Butter

Start with a Dark Beer

After placing the meat into your crock-pot, add your bottle or can of beer. I went with Guinness because that is one of my favorite beers and I was going to drink one with dinner!

Add a 10.5 Oz Can of Condensed French Onion Soup

Next, open your can of condensed French Onion Soup and empty it into the crock-pot.

Add a 10.5 oz can of Beef Broth

Then take and open your can of beef Broth. Empty the whole can in your crock-pot.

Cook On High For 6 Hours

You will want to set your crock-pot on high and let it simmer for 6 hours. Every hour of hours, I would mix it around. With about 1 hour left in your cooking time, you can start to shred your meat in the crock-pot. This will help get the juices into all the meat. You can always add some extra onions and salt for your own taste.

Finally Plate and Serve

After the 6 hours is up, take some of the juice and put into a bowl for dipping. Take your French Roll and butter it. I also put the roll in a buttered pan to crisp it up. Then take your meat and put in on the roll. Finally sit down and enjoy!
