As the coronavirus outbreak plays out, we are being encouraged to avoid large crowds and stay inside whenever possible, especially those of us who are in high-risk groups. For that reason, delivery is expected to be in huge demand, and many companies are even waiving fees.

KFC just announced it’s offering free delivery through April 26, though it didn’t specifically cite the coronavirus as a reason for doing so. To qualify for free delivery, all you have to do is spend a minimum of $12 on orders placed through KFC’s website or its delivery partners: Grubhub and Seamless.

So if you’re craving a Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich or Nashville Hot Extra Crispy Tenders but don’t feel like leaving home, now is the time to order up. Kentucky Fried Wings in Buffalo or Honey BBQ also make a great addition to any order if you’re trying to hit that magic $12 mark.

The news comes after the chicken chain recently pulled a commercial in the U.K. that featured patrons licking their fingers in a literal play on the company’s “Finger-licking good” tagline. More than 150 people reportedly complained to the government about the ad campaign given recent news.

Because delivery will likely be in such high demand, though, it’s important to remember to practice both patience and self-care if you do decide to have meals delivered. Wash your hands, don’t answer the door if you’ve been sick, and as always, tip well!
