Sept 3, 2019: Would you have helped runaway slaves?

On September 3, 1838 famous escaped slave and later writer, Frederick Douglass escaped slavery and moved northward to live as a free man and abolitionist writer, speaker, and activist.

Knowing what you know today, and taking today’s standards into account, do you think you could have been someone who would have helped runaway slaves move through “the underground railroad” and to get north and to Canada?

This is a serious humanitarian topic, so please leave out the “dindoo” this and “section ape” that.
