Mysterious Spider-Man Saves Wheelchair User From Six Lanes of Traffic

Motorists waiting at a busy intersection in Jonesboro, Arkansas, witnessed something Tuesday that probably required them to check whether they had accidentally driven into a Marvel movie.

A man using a wheelchair was struggling to cross six lanes of traffic before the signal changed. With the remaining seconds disappearing and the man still dangerously exposed in the roadway, help suddenly arrived.

Spider-Man jumped out of a red Jeep.

Still wearing his full red-and-blue suit and mask, the mysterious hero raced into the intersection, reached the stranded man and began pushing his wheelchair toward safety.

Traffic-camera footage captured Spider-Man hurrying across the remaining lanes as cars waited at the light. He managed to get the man safely onto the opposite side only seconds before the signal turned green.

Having completed the rescue, Spider-Man immediately sprinted back across the intersection and climbed into the waiting Jeep.

There was no dramatic speech. No reporters were present. No villain emerged from a nearby building, and no web appeared to be necessary.

Spider-Man simply saw someone in danger and helped.

The Jonesboro Police Department later shared footage of the unusual rescue, praising the masked stranger for demonstrating that there is always time to do the right thing.

The video quickly spread online, where viewers celebrated the costumed hero’s quick response—and wondered how Spider-Man happened to be driving through Arkansas at precisely the right moment.

Perhaps he was returning from a children’s party. Perhaps he was headed to a promotional appearance. Perhaps Peter Parker finally abandoned New York after calculating how much cheaper the rent is in Jonesboro.

Whatever brought him to the intersection, he arrived exactly when he was needed.

The wheelchair user was not publicly identified, and Spider-Man disappeared almost as quickly as he had appeared, leaving behind only the traffic-camera recording and several lanes of motorists with a story nobody would have believed without video.

For one brief moment, there were no supervillains, exploding buildings or computer-generated special effects—just a vulnerable man caught in traffic and a masked stranger willing to leave his vehicle and help him.

Then the light changed, the cars continued on their way and Spider-Man vanished down the road.

Who was that masked hero—and how can we thank him?
