Sex truck hits NJ colleges, handing out sex toys, condoms and ‘pleasure expert’ advice

A provocative promotional tour made its way across several New Jersey college campuses this week, bringing with it a mix of adult-themed merchandise, educational discussions, and free giveaways focused on relationships and personal wellness.

The traveling “Sexology 101” truck, backed by retail chain Spencer’s, stopped at Rowan University in Glassboro on Thursday as part of a broader college tour. The event attracted large crowds of students who lined up for discounted products, complimentary items, and advice related to intimacy and health.

Also featured at the event was Dirty Lola, a well-known educator in the field who has appeared on Netflix. She answered anonymous questions from students, covering topics that ranged from relationship concerns to more personal curiosities. One student, Brendan Coulthurst, noted that conversations like these are not common in everyday life but can help people make safer and more informed choices.

Spencer’s launched the multi-campus tour last month, visiting four universities in total with the goal of encouraging open, judgment-free discussions about relationships, independence, and personal decision-making. According to senior marketing manager Karlie DiPietro, the company worked with Rowan University’s PRISM club, a large campus organization that supports LGBTQ+ students, to organize the event.

DiPietro explained that the company aims to be a knowledgeable and inclusive resource, while also keeping the atmosphere engaging and approachable for students.

Before arriving at Rowan, the truck had already stopped at Temple University, Monmouth University, and Stockton University. At each location, students were able to participate in activities, receive promotional items, and explore a new product line introduced by the retailer.

While the event drew significant enthusiasm, there was a minor issue when a separate children’s activity was scheduled nearby at the same time. Despite that, PRISM president Mack Reilly said the overall response remained overwhelmingly positive, with many students visibly excited as they left carrying their purchases.
