A recent survey conducted by YouGov asked more than 40,000 Americans to name their favorite fast-food burger chain, and the results placed Five Guys at the top of the list. The chain edged out several major competitors, including Burger King, In-N-Out, Wendy’s, and McDonald’s.

Five Guys has long been known for higher menu prices compared with other fast-food restaurants. Its basic “Little Hamburger” costs about $8.25 on average, while similar standard hamburgers at the other chains typically range from roughly $2 to $2.59, according to USA Today. Even with the higher price, the brand continues to maintain a strong following among customers.

In the burger rankings, Five Guys received support from 15.5 percent of respondents. Burger King followed closely behind at 15 percent. In-N-Out placed third with 12.1 percent, while Wendy’s came in fourth at 10.2 percent. McDonald’s rounded out the top five with 8 percent.

The results were different when respondents were asked about fries. According to Sporked, McDonald’s dominated that category, with 39 percent of people choosing it as their favorite. Five Guys finished second in the fries ranking, receiving 9 percent of the vote.
