Leopard found lurking under bed after strolling into home
Residents of Siddhartha Layout in Mysuru, located in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, were left stunned on April 17 after a leopard was found hiding beneath a bed inside a home.
The unexpected encounter began when a leopard reportedly wandered out of a nearby forest and entered the house through the front door. Inside the home, local resident Suresh was working on his laptop when a housekeeper rushed in to warn him that a wild animal was inside the house.

Realizing the danger, Suresh quickly secured the situation by locking the bedroom door from the outside, preventing the animal from moving through the rest of the home while authorities were called.
Members of the Leopard Task Force soon arrived at the residence along with a veterinarian from the Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens. After locating the animal under the bed, specialists sedated the nearly four-year-old leopard. The team then used nets to safely restrain the big cat and remove it from the house.

Officials later released the leopard back into the wild after the rescue operation.
