A new analysis from The Washington Post reports that far-right livestreamer Nick Fuentes has managed to build a highly profitable online operation despite being barred from many major social media platforms. According to the report, Fuentes has generated close to $900,000 since early 2025 through “superchat” donations on the video platform Rumble.

The investigation, conducted by reporters Drew Harwell and Jeremy B. Merrill, examined payment data showing that the 27-year-old’s income largely comes directly from his audience rather than traditional advertising. While around 11,000 people have contributed money during his streams, the majority of the funds appear to come from a relatively small group of particularly dedicated supporters.

Fuentes is widely known for promoting white supremacist views and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler. He has also made statements suggesting women should be limited to roles such as “mothers, whores, or nuns.” Because of positions like these, mainstream platforms have largely removed or banned him.

Even so, the analysis suggests Fuentes has established a sustainable revenue model on alternative platforms. By relying primarily on direct financial support from viewers instead of ads or corporate partnerships, he is less vulnerable to the pressures that typically affect online creators, such as advertiser concerns, platform moderation policies, or public backlash.

Megan Squire of the Southern Poverty Law Center said the donation system mirrors older forms of extremist group support, arguing that sending money through a superchat has become comparable to attending a Ku Klux Klan meeting in the past. The Washington Post report explores how this system of viewer payments has allowed Fuentes to continue operating and earning significant income despite widespread bans elsewhere online.
