Mom of 3 arrested again after being accused of operating prostitution ring out of home
A mother of three was reportedly taken into custody again after she was accused of helping her husband run a prostitution ring out of the family’s home.
According to The New York Post, Ashley Ketcherside was arrested on Wednesday in connection her to her alleged involvement in a prostitution ring that was overlooked when she was initially arrested on April 8. She is now accused of coaching women on how to offer sex services from her family’s home, per the publication.
The Post‘s report states that Ketcherside denied involvement when her husband, Michael Ketcherside, was arrested after being accused of running a prostitution ring that was reportedly frequented by law enforcement officers.
During the investigation, authorities reportedly learned that Ashley Ketcherside had two prior prostitution convictions and allegedly offered sex services for $1,000 an hour, according to the publication.
The couple was accused of operating the ring out of their family home for at least a decade, during which they allegedly hosted various members of the Godley Police Department and their spouses at their home.
In connection to the investigation, Matthew Cantrell, the former Godley chief of police, and Godley police officer Solomon Omotoya were also arrested, according to KDFW. Cantrell was charged with promoting prostitution, and Omotoya was charged with soliciting prostitution, per the station’s report.
After her husband’s arrest, Ashley Ketcherside denied the accusations and said Omotoya never paid her for sex, but said she believes “two consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever it is that they want to do,” and denied being a prostitute, the publication reported.
Court documents reviewed by The Post reportedly state that Omotoya led investigators to Cantrell, who allegedly said that Ashley Ketcherside had charged him $1,000 an hour for sex. Those rates were allegedly also repeated in messages seen on a burner phone that was seized from Ashley Ketcherside, The Post reported.
Ashley Ketcherside was arrested “without residence” and charged with the following, per the publication:
- Continuous promotion
- Solicitation of prostitution
- Racketeering
- Operating a business without a license
She is being held on a $200,000 bond, and Michael Ketcherside is being held on a $450,000 bond, according to the report.
Ashley Ketcherside previously worked with the Godley ISD committee that oversaw the district’s sex education curriculum but was outed after parents uncovered her previous convictions by searching her email address on the internet.
