Since today is Sunday, it feels like the right time—maybe the best time—to pause together as a community and lift one another up.
We’ve all been here for years. We’ve laughed together, debated together, disagreed at times, and stood side by side through life’s ups and downs. That kind of history creates something rare. It creates family. And when one of us is hurting, we all feel it.
Last week, NoMoreFalseGods shared something deeply personal and painful. In her own words:
“My beef is cancer. I found out this week that my older brother’s cancer has returned and it’s not looking good for him. We’re the last two left and I don’t want to lose him too. Please put in a good word for him.”
Those words carry so much weight—fear, love, and the ache of possibly losing the last close piece of family. Today, let’s put in that good word. Whether you call it prayer, positive thoughts, or simply holding someone in your heart, let’s surround her brother with strength, comfort, and hope. And let’s surround her with peace and courage for whatever lies ahead.
We also want to lift up Geist von Panzer, who is carrying the constant worry only a parent truly understands. Her son is serving in the military, and the weight of that concern never really leaves. Let’s keep him in our thoughts for protection, safety, and a safe return home—and keep her in our prayers for calm and reassurance during the waiting.
And while we’ve mentioned these two specifically, this prayer chain is for everyone here. For the struggles spoken and unspoken. For health battles, family issues, financial stress, loneliness, uncertainty, and the quiet burdens many carry without ever typing a word about them.
If ever there was a good day to begin something like this, it’s Sunday. Take a moment today—right now if you can. Say a prayer. Send a message of encouragement. Post a kind word. Light a candle. However you do it, let’s do it together.
Drop a comment below to let others know you’re joining in. Sometimes just knowing you’re not alone makes all the difference.
We’ve built something strong here over the years. Today, let’s use that strength for each other.
