President Donald Trump delivered a stark warning regarding Iran during a phone interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, making it clear that the 8 p.m. (EST) deadline for Tehran remains firmly in place. According to Baier, the president indicated that if Iran fails to comply, the consequences would be severe and unprecedented for the regime.
“I just got off the phone with the president,” Baier said during the broadcast. “I asked him, if you were to put odds on it, what are the chances this ends up being a negotiated deal? He said he wasn’t going to put odds on it. But he said, ‘8 p.m. is happening.’”
Baier then relayed the president’s warning: “He said, ‘If we get to that point, there is going to be an attack like they have not seen.’”
According to Baier, Trump emphasized that while negotiations have not been ruled out, time is quickly running out and military planning is already underway.
“At this hour, he didn’t want to put odds on it,” Baier explained. “He said it is moving forward with the plans that we have. That’s a huge deal.”
Baier added that the president indicated he does not want the situation to escalate but is maintaining the deadline to pressure Iran to come to the negotiating table.
“He says he doesn’t want to do it,” Baier said, “but at this hour he is sticking to it and saying it might be likely if they don’t come to the table.”
Meanwhile, reports indicate that tensions between the United States and Iran are intensifying. Earlier reporting from The Gateway Pundit claimed that the Iranian regime has begun mobilizing civilians, including young people, to gather around key infrastructure sites as human shields.
Videos circulating on social media appear to show crowds forming human chains around power plants and other facilities across the country as the standoff continues to escalate.
