A TikTok video posted by a stripper has stirred debate online after she said young U.S. service members have been talking about upcoming deployments while spending money at strip clubs.
Charm Daze, a San Diego–based dancer with about 900,000 followers on social media, posted an emotional video Sunday night describing what she said she has been seeing in clubs near military bases. According to Daze, many young service members have recently been coming in, spending large amounts of money, and mentioning that they are preparing to deploy.
In the video, she said the men often appear downcast despite trying to enjoy themselves. She explained that they frequently tell her they are deploying soon, sometimes saying it will happen the following week. Daze said the pattern has become noticeable enough that it has begun to affect her emotionally.
Daze performs at clubs around the country, but her social media profiles indicate she is based in San Diego. The city is home to the largest naval base on the West Coast and a significant concentration of military personnel.

Several major U.S. Navy units operate in the region, including Navy SEAL teams and Marine Expeditionary units stationed at Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado, and Camp Pendleton. Like many military towns, the surrounding area also has a number of strip clubs that are frequently visited by service members.
In her video, Daze remarked on how young many of the troops appear, describing them as extremely young. She also said many of the men are polite and reserved, which she said makes their situation more emotional for her as they prepare to leave.
She acknowledged that hearing their stories and saying goodbye to them has begun to weigh on her.
The video spread widely across social media, with some viewers saying it offered a glimpse into the personal side of troops preparing for deployment as tensions continue in the conflict involving Iran.
Others focused on a different concern: operational security. Some critics pointed out that service members discussing deployment details in public settings could create security risks.

Marine officer and social media personality Kagan Dunlap addressed the issue on X, warning that troops should avoid sharing information about deployments with civilians. He emphasized that service members should not discuss when they are deploying, where they are going, or other operational details with people outside the military, noting that such conversations can easily end up online.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon has prepared thousands of troops for potential deployment related to the ongoing war with Iran. Many of those forces include soldiers from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division based in North Carolina.

U.S. Central Command also announced that roughly 3,500 sailors and Marines aboard the USS Tripoli arrived in the Middle East over the weekend.
