Secret Service Has Tight Restrictions on Tiger Woods and Trump’s Grandkids
Golf icon Tiger Woods is currently dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump, Jr., but Secret Service restrictions prevent him from driving her children due to concerns over his history with substance use.
According to a source speaking to the New York Post, this decision comes in the aftermath of Woods’ most recent car accident and DUI arrest in Florida last week.
Woods and Vanessa have been romantically linked since 2024. Vanessa is the mother of five children with Donald Trump, Jr., whom she divorced in 2018. Despite Woods’ longstanding friendship with the president, agents responsible for the safety of Trump’s family will not allow him to transport the president’s grandchildren.
The source told the Post that Secret Service personnel would never permit Woods to drive the children, even if his DUI history were not a factor.

The latest incident occurred on Friday when Woods collided with another vehicle and overturned his car on Jupiter Island, Florida, leading to a DUI arrest. This was not Woods’ first brush with the law: he was previously arrested for DUI in 2017 after being found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle.
Following last week’s crash, Woods recorded a 0.00% blood alcohol level on a Breathalyzer test but refused to provide a urine sample. Reports indicate the refusal may be linked to his ongoing use of prescription pain medication for chronic injuries sustained over his career.

When asked about the accident, President Trump expressed full support for his longtime friend. “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine,” Trump told reporters. “He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty.”
The president and Woods have been friends for more than 20 years, often playing golf together and welcoming Woods to the White House. Throughout his career, Woods has remained a consistent supporter of Trump, even amid intense public scrutiny.
Now 50, Woods faces personal challenges, but many hope he can draw on the discipline that made him a golfing legend to address his struggles and come out stronger.
