Female Dodgers fans at center of wild ballpark brawl
Fights broke out in the stands at Dodger Stadium during Opening Day this week, drawing attention away from the action on the field.
Video circulating online shows several Dodgers fans involved in a heated altercation in the upper-level seating area, specifically Section 309. In the footage, two women with tattoos are seen grappling with each other, pulling hair and falling across the rows of seats as the scuffle continues. Everyone involved appeared to be wearing Dodgers clothing, though what started the confrontation remains unclear.
The clip quickly spread on social media, where viewers reacted to the chaotic scene. Some users questioned why fans supporting the same team would be fighting each other, while others mocked the contrast between the championship team playing on the field and the disorder unfolding in the stands.
Several commenters also used the moment to highlight the high cost of attending games in Los Angeles. Dodgers fans face some of the steepest ticket and concession prices in Major League Baseball. One example often cited is a Shohei Ohtani souvenir cup sold at the stadium for $74.99.
Incidents like this have happened before at Dodger Stadium. In 2024, another video that went viral showed two couples clashing in the lower bowl near the left-field foul line during a Sunday night matchup between the Dodgers and the Red Sox. During that altercation, two women confronted each other directly, with one seemingly stepping in to defend her partner.

Last August, authorities said two fans were arrested after a fight broke out in the stands over a stolen hat. The Anaheim Police Department confirmed the arrests following the incident.
A separate confrontation that same month involved fans of both the Angels and the Dodgers. Video from that altercation, which also spread widely online, showed a man wearing a Mike Trout Angels jersey being struck by another fan dressed in a black shirt.
