Horrified Chicago mother finds naked squatters in her bed during bizarre break-in
A Chicago woman says she was horrified to return to her apartment and find strangers living inside — including two people sleeping naked in her bed.
Yanicee Miles, a 27-year-old nursing student and mother of three, said the disturbing discovery happened after she spent two weeks away caring for her sick mother. When she returned to her South Side apartment around 8:30 a.m. on March 15, she says she walked into what she described as a nightmare.
According to Miles, the apartment had been trashed and rummaged through while she was gone. She recorded video showing one unknown person asleep on her couch, while two others had apparently taken over her bedroom.
“They were naked in my bed,” Miles told Fox News while describing the scene she encountered.
Miles called police and confronted the people inside her home as officers arrived. In the video she recorded, she can be heard angrily confronting them and demanding they leave, saying she works hard for her home and has three children to care for.

Chicago police arrested two of the people accused of being inside the apartment. Authorities identified them as Tamika Harvey, 46, and Macarthur Benton, 63. Both were charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police did not explain why a third person who was reportedly inside the apartment was not taken into custody.
Miles said the experience left her shaken and emotionally distressed. She explained that it was not the first troubling incident she experienced at the building.
About two weeks earlier, while she was at work, she received a call informing her that someone had kicked in her apartment door, she said.
Because of ongoing problems at the largely abandoned building, Miles had already begun planning to move. In another recent incident, thieves reportedly broke into her first-floor unit and stole her television.
Miles said the situation has left her dealing with emotional stress, damage to her property, and the urgent need to find safe housing for herself and her three daughters. She created a GoFundMe page asking for help as she tries to relocate and rebuild.
The fundraiser had collected $470.
Chicago comedian Dyon Brooks has also stepped in to help. According to reports, Brooks has offered to assist Miles by purchasing furniture once she finds a new place to live.
Brooks said the story moved him to act because she is a mother simply trying to provide for her children.
