WATCH: Police Release Bodycam Footage of Justin Timberlake’s DUI Arrest – Very Drunk Pop Star Struggles Through Field Sobriety Test
Police have made public bodycam footage from Justin Timberlake’s DUI arrest in the Hamptons, which occurred in June 2024.
The singer and songwriter was taken into custody after attending a party at The American Hotel bar in Sag Harbor, where authorities say he later got behind the wheel of his BMW and failed to stop at a stop sign.
Officers who began following Timberlake observed him swerving while driving. He was subjected to field sobriety tests but did not pass, and he refused a breathalyzer.
Reports indicate Timberlake was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence and failing to stop at a stop sign. He was released without bail. Sources told TMZ that Timberlake claimed he had only “one martini” and was driving friends home, though witnesses said he appeared heavily intoxicated and had been drinking from others’ glasses before being stopped. The bodycam video released Friday by the Sag Harbor Village Police Department shows Timberlake struggling with the field sobriety exercises. At one point, he attempted to avoid taking the tests, but officers informed him that he was not free to leave.
Timberlake had previously sought a court injunction to prevent the release of the footage. The video now available is a redacted version.
