Heavily-tatted man, 40, jailed after stray gunfire from his property allegedly struck 2 shoppers at nearby Kroger

A 40-year-old Ohio man was arrested after stray gunfire from his property allegedly struck two shoppers at a nearby grocery store, according to police.

Authorities say Jayson Hall was firing shots from his property around 7:30 p.m. Friday when a stray bullet traveled into the lobby of a Kroger store in Maineville. The Hamilton Township Police Department reported that the single round hit two people inside the entrance area of the store.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Investigators also found a bullet hole in one of the store’s sliding glass doors. Police said the shooting appears to have been accidental.
