A Sprakers woman is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following an early morning traffic stop in Montgomery County, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jeffery T. Smith said deputies arrested 36-year-old Heather Yacobucci of Sprakers, during a patrol on State Highway 5 in Nelliston on March 3.

Authorities said a deputy observed a vehicle traveling with a headlight out. The vehicle also matched the description of a suspect vehicle stole gas at a Stewart’s Shop in Fort Plain previously.

During the traffic stop, deputies identified Yacobucci as the driver. Investigators determined the vehicle displayed fraudulent Ohio license plates, officials said.

Yacobucci was taken into custody and a subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.

She was charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, Class D felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, Class D felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Class A misdemeanor
  • Failure to Surrender a Suspended or Revoked License/Registration
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree

Yacobucci was also issued multiple traffic infractions.

She was processed and lodged at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fort Plain Police Department.
