Transgender Activist Arrested For Threatening to Kill President Trump and “Wear His Face Like a Mask”

A transgender activist in the greater Seattle, Washington, area has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill President Trump.

Phillip Wharton, 20, a biological male who uses the name “Sadie Online,” was indicted Wednesday on two counts of threatening a federal official.

According to court documents, the U.S. Secret Service was alerted last summer to a series of threatening social media posts linked to Wharton.

In one post, investigators say Wharton wrote that he planned to kill President Trump and wear his face “as a mask.” In another, he allegedly stated that he would assassinate the president.

Authorities say they were able to trace the Instagram and X accounts connected to the posts back to Wharton. He was taken into custody in Everett, Washington.

According to a report by KING 5, a federal grand jury in the Western District of Washington indicted Wharton on two counts of threatening a federal official. The indictment was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Court documents state that the first alleged threat was posted on Aug. 19, 2025. The post included a photograph and text referencing killing the president and wearing his face “as a mask.”

The second charge stems from a Sept. 23, 2025 post in which Wharton allegedly wrote: “My name is Sadie Online. I am going to kill the president tomorrow. This is not a joke, but a confession admissible in a court of law.”

If convicted, Wharton could face federal penalties related to making threats against a federal official.
