Khamenei’s Last Tweet Taunting President Trump Didn’t Age Well
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who is now deceased, criticized Donald Trump last week in a series of social media posts.
In one message, Khamenei responded to remarks by President Trump about the United States’ long-standing tensions with the Islamic Republic.
“The U.S. President has said that for 47 years, the United States hasn’t been able to eliminate the Islamic Republic. That is a good confession. I say, ‘You, too, will not be able to do this,’” Khamenei wrote.

Days later, on Saturday, Khamenei and more than 40 senior Iranian leaders were killed during a U.S.–Israel military operation, according to Iranian state media. Reports indicated that more than 200 people were killed and nearly 800 were injured in the strikes.
A week before the operation, Khamenei also criticized the strength of the U.S. military.
The US President keeps saying that they have the strongest military force in the world. The strongest military force in the world may at times be struck so hard that it cannot get up again.

On Saturday evening, after Iranian state television confirmed his death, an aide posted a verse from the Quran on Khamenei’s X account:
“Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least (Holy Quran 33:23).”
